SHORT-TERM INTERNATIONAL
MISSION TRIPS

Our short-term mission trips support our long-term programs and ministry partners around the world. We would love to have you serve alongside us to learn more about the amazing work our staff, partners, and friends are doing in developing countries. What is your passion? Medicine? Education? Construction? Children? We are thankful to have a variety of opportunities to allow each person to serve with the gifts that God has given them. Learn more about what God is doing around the world in the lives of the materially poor and how you can make a difference! Balancing Global Relief
with Personal Enrichment

In needy areas around the world, H4KI volunteer teams are impacting the lives of thousands of children by constructing medical clinics, establishing feeding programs, sponsoring orphans and vulnerable children, creating ministries for economic growth, holding medical outreaches, and delivering needed educational and health supplies. Teams also have the opportunity to indulge in the culture of the country they are serving by taking an excursion. H4KI balances the mission experience of community outreach with cultural opportunities throughout the trip.

Mission Trip Details

The mission trip price includes all ground transportation within the foreign country (except for Mexico), double-occupancy hotel accommodations, three meals per day, and mission project costs. We are also happy to assist you with your airfare arrangements. Because our mission trips are tax-deductible (please confirm with your tax advisor), we cannot include the excursion activities in the mission price. Contact our office for more information!

Each year, the H4KI team leads several international trips to the countries where we work, and you are invited to come along! Unlike tours or sightseeing adventures, these trips get you involved with the actual people you are supporting, right in their home communities.

The H4KI team handles all of the travel details for you. Tom Eggum, Founder and President, has been taking teams abroad for almost 50 years, and still leads many teams today. His enthusiasm is contagious, and his knowledge of the area and the people’s needs will inform and inspire you. Once you choose a destination, we are able to make arrangements for your air travel, accommodations and optional excursions.

QUESTIONS?

Here are some of our most frequently asked questions:

We invite anyone (15 years old and older if traveling without a parent) to travel with us. Team members younger than 15 years old may travel with supervision. Team members come from all backgrounds and with varied experience. We regularly have trained medical and dental personnel, construction workers, farmers, teachers, pastors, social workers, students, and homemakers travel with us on our short-term mission trips. Specialized training is welcomed, but not necessary. If you care about kids in need, you qualify.

Founding President Tom Eggum leads most international trips (schedule permitting), as he has for over 40 years. Tom, or another member of our informed and well-trained leadership team, will be there to ensure your trip runs smoothly as you experience an unforgettable journey.

Our teams typically stay in local, comfortable accommodations in or near the areas we serve. This gives team members a relaxed atmosphere where they can decompress and be well rested for the next day’s work. Trip fees include double-occupancy hotel accommodations; however, single room accommodations are available for an additional fee.
